I’m from the government and I’m here to help you!

August 30th, 2009 by admin

Those of you who know me know that I have a bit of a background in computer science and do a little image processing and system administration on a contract basis.  I’ve been running networks since the late 80s.  Ever since the infamous Morris worm of 1988, anybody with a grade-school knowlege of networking knows not to allow open relaying in mail servers.  Except of course, the folk who want to control everything you eat and every bit of medical care they choose to allow you to have.  I’m sure they will handle the rationing of your health care with as much expertise as they handle the selling of your body into government hands.

The right way to do healthcare reform

August 30th, 2009 by admin

Statists and authoritarians assert that the *only* way to fix health care is to do more of what has made it bad — increase bureaurcracy, enforce rationing and the death of the elderly, and destroy indiviual liberty.  The destruction of our individuality is a “moral imperative.”  They assert, wrongly, that there is no other way.  Well there is.  Here’s a proposal much like that supported by most conservatives.  Proposed by a Democrat, no less.

But it will never happen, because it doesn’t come with central control, and the left will never agree to anything that preserves liberty.  It’s not about health care.  Health care can be fixed without making us slaves. As far as the Obamessiah and his cultists go, anything that doesn’t put every aspect of our lives in the hands of a beltway bureaucrat is unacceptable. It’s about instituting socialism and destroying liberty.  No more.  No less.

Obama supporter gets it right

August 29th, 2009 by admin

Jim  Moran (Democrat,  the Obama Soviet) bans signs that disagree with Obamacare a his town hall meeting.  A cop enforcing this censorship gets it exactly right, via Michelle Malkin:

When the protester asks why other sign-holders aren’t being threatened with trespassing charges, the officer says it’s because the protester’s sign has a picture.

“This used to be America!” the protester exclaims.

The officer retorts: “It ain’t no more, okay?”

No it’s not.

Allahpundit has the video.

Hope and Change. Leave your freedom at the door.

Tyrant, part 3

August 29th, 2009 by admin

One of the Obamessiah’s acolytes, Congressperson  Diane Watson, Democrat of the Californa Soviet has this to say about what Obama plans for the future of America:

It was just mentioned to me by our esteemed speaker, “Did anyone say anything about the Cuban health system?”

And lemme tell ya, before you say “Oh, it’s a commu–”, you need to go down there and see what Fidel Castro put in place. And I want you to know, now, you can think whatever you want to about Fidel Castro, but he was one of the brightest leaders I have ever met. [APPLAUSE]

And you know, the Cuban revolution that kicked out the wealthy, Che Guevara did that, and then, after they took over, they went out among the population to find someone who could lead this new nation, and they found…well, just leave it there (laughs), an attorney by the name of Fidel Castro…

Who knows, maybe Obama and the Democrats can just skip the Cuban stage and move directly to the Zimbabwe future. Who needs liberty when you can follow our Glorious Leader into the New Revolution?

Hope and Change

The future of Obamacare

August 28th, 2009 by admin

From the utopia of socialized medicine:

One million NHS patients have been the victims of appalling care in hospitals across Britain, according to a major report released today. In the last six years, the Patients Association claims hundreds of thousands have suffered from poor standards of nursing, often with ‘neglectful, demeaning, painful and sometimes downright cruel’ treatment.

The charity has disclosed a horrifying catalogue of elderly people left in pain, in soiled bed clothes, denied adequate food and drink, and suffering from repeatedly canceled operations, missed diagnoses and dismissive staff. The Patients Association said the dossier proves that while the scale of the scandal at Mid-Staffordshire NHS Foundation Trust – where up to 1,200 people died through failings in urgent care – was a one off, there are repeated examples they have uncovered of the same appalling standards throughout the NHS.

While the criticisms cover all aspects of hospital care, the treatment and attitude of nurses stands out as a repeated theme across almost all of the cases. They have called on Government and the Care Quality Commission to conduct an urgent review of standards of basic hospital care and to enforce stricter supervision and regulation.

Claire Rayner, President of the Patients Association and a former nurse, said:“For far too long now, the Patients Association has been receiving calls on our helpline from people wanting to talk about the dreadful, neglectful, demeaning, painful and sometimes downright cruel treatment their elderly relatives had experienced at the hands of NHS nurses.

Remember, as the Nazi’s used to say, lebensunwertes Leben.  It’s your duty to die. Hope and Change!

Tyrant

August 28th, 2009 by admin

One of the watchwords of the left during the Bush Administration was that Bush was using the terrorist threat to attack all of our civil liberties.

Bush was a piker compared to Obama.

Of course, Obama wants to control every aspect of your health through federal fiat.  Of course, Obama wants to control every act you can take in order to save the environment — even to the point of requiring federal permission to cut or plant trees in your own yard.  Obama has no problem with intimidation at voting booths, as long as it’s members of the Party who benefit, as shown by his decision to give the Black Panthers a pass.  Obama has no problem with lobbyists controlling the agenda, as long as it’s his people who profit. Obama has no problem with race-baiting as long as it’s in service to the Party.

But what about those pesky people who don’t get with the program, particularly those evil blogger types?  Give Obama complete control of the internet, of course.

Of course, all those folk who pretended to be concerned with civil liberties were only concerned with bringing down Bush in order to bring in the authoritarian socialist utopia.  Of course, they hold individual liberties in contempt.  And now that it’s Obama, it’s all OK.  Just like the war.

Obama has betrayed every promise he made regarding civil liberties.  His Administration makes Bush look like a libertarian when it comes to privacy.  He holds individual property rights in contempt.  He hold your very right to your own body in contempt.  And now he wants to control who gets to be on the internet.

Tyrant.

Obama thinks he’s God

August 21st, 2009 by admin

It’s amazing, isn’t it, how the “principles” of the Dems just vanish once the real goal — pursuit of power — is achieved?  There have been a number of articles on the amusing way the Dems have pushed the antiwar movement under the bus.  Now that His Holiness Obama is here, war is good. As one writer noted, once a useful idiot is no longer useful, that just leaves …

And now Obama thinks he’s going to make people of faith into useful idiots.  The amusing thing is the absolute contempt the libs displayed whenever George Bush referred to his faith.  It was a doctrine of the left that any President who viewed his actions in terms of acting on his faith was a buffoon.  But not now, of course.  Now *everybody’s* found Jesus, and the *best* place for Him is at the right hand of Obama.

The problem is that it’s not as easy to fake real faith as it is to fake passion against the war.  Sure, he pulled it off in Chicago, at least until it was convenient to claim that he attended a church for twenty years but had *no* idea what the minister was talking about.  Now he calls a zillion religious leaders to tell them that he is God’s partner and that God wants socialized medicine.  Feh. That’s the difference.  Bush would never say something like that, since Bush actually believes all this Jesus stuff.  Obama clearly doesn’t have a lot of respect for those little folk who, as he said, “cling” to their religion, and he clearly doesn’t believe this Jesus stuff unless it’s politically useful.  If he did, he would know we are *servants* of God.  We don’t sit on God’s  Board of Directors, and Rahm Emmanuel isn’t telling God what to do.  There’s that old saying that once you learn to fake sincerity, the rest is easy.  It is — until the rubber meets the road.

Of course, if he knew anything about Jesus, he would know that He would have nothing to do with socialized medicine.  The message of the New Testament is in personal transformation and personal responsibility.  Jesus was not a “community organizer” asking for a new governmental program.  Just the opposite — His message avoids government altogether.

But of course, now that the secular left has found the Almighty, He’s now officially part of the Cabinet.  No doubt Obama will have a God czar.  But there’s a good reason the left doesn’t care in the case of Obama while they were scared to death of any reference to God by Bush.  They know with Obama it’s a convenient lie.  They are right about that, but they’re wong is in thinking that they have people of faith fooled.  It’s one thing to pretend to Christianity in words, and another to attack it in action.  Christians recognize the latter, and it speaks louder than words.

Obama blew it, and both he and the secular left are too stupid to know.
