Dems sink to new low
November 2nd, 2005 bySo now it turns out that the Dems stunt in the Senate was not to force action on the investigation. They had to hurry up and play this game because Pat Roberts, the chair, had told them he was about finished. They had to rush to make this grandstanding complaint because the report was about to come out, and how could they complain about a report that was finished?
They actually stopped the Senate in order to draw attention to a claim they knew to be a lie, and they had to rush to do it.
Pathetic..

The link worked this morning, Billo. When I tried to pull it up just now to update what I’d written with it (and thank you, also) it didn’t. It’s gone?

Odd. If you go to his site (roberts.senate.gov), click on Press Office and choose Press Releases, it’s still listed under Nov 1, 2005, though it gives a 404 error when I go to it now. On the other hand, the mp3 audio is still there. I assume it’s a site error, and will likely be fixed. Unfortunately, the menus at the site are wacky and I can’t get to the “send email” option to let them know.

I went to the Senator’s home page and through a link there to another page, sent an email this afternoon. It’s Friday afternoon so I don’t expect an answer until after the weekend, IF I get one seeing as I don’t live in Kansas.
I didn’t make a big deal of it, just noting that the link didn’t work. If it’s fixed, fine. If not, well . . . I may “mention” it to a certain big blogger we’ve both known for years who has a lot more pull in the blogosphere than we do.
