Smoky Mountain National Park

I am blessed to live in Eastern Tennessee. This weekend, my wife and I went out to the Smoky Mountain National Park and did the drive along US 441 over to Cherokee, NC. The leaves were pretty much all gone at the higher elevations, but were still pretty lower down Here’s a couple of pics. We came back along the Foothills Parkway, which was still in full glory. I’ll post pictures of that later.

It’s always interesting, to me, to see how much cropping the image affects the feel.  Here’s a small part of the above image, but it makes the changing colors of the trees more important…
