Because Covid. Turns out that the testing isn’t really all that important when fairness issues come into play. If only people would reconsider the ridiculous MOC/recert mess in the same light. All these people who have been criticizing MOC/recert because it’s a sham have been on the wrong track all along. Instead, they should have attacked it on fairness and social justice grounds. Since the idea of objective measures of competence are examples of white supremacy, clearly this worship of racist metrics has a problem — and there’s only so much you can do with adding or substracting score results based on race. I think it’s time to look at the MOC/recert process as an overtly and systematically unjust system.
